Researchers on the School of Archaeology and Ancient History consider that constellation was the ring-bell for consulting Apollo Delphinios and not a calendar day. Hesiod gave the clue in his Works and Days manual. That constellation is named after the Gods name: the Delphinus. The systems convenient and portability and maybe that are the case why Delphi had so dispersed calendar from the rest Greek city-states. It is indeed that Delphi could be used as the Greek stonehead.

Rites and rituals had to be made according the constellation’s position, and maybe that is the fact! So now we know: all the followers of Apollo must know and locate Delphinus constellation as a main element of the Apollonian liturgical calendar.
